Description

As part of the engineering and design team, the outside plant designer shall:

• Create area plans, detail design and documentation as per the NBN standards and guidelines provided for the optimal designs
• Delivering constructible and costoptimized designs
• Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental aspects, regulations, policies and procedures in the provision of below and abovetheground telecommunications network an equipment;
• Preparing the technical documentation for the stakeholders' engagement and approvals from Utilities, Railways, Councils, Residential owners, etc.;
• Ensure the timely delivery of area plans, detailed designs and documentation, construction plans and asbuilts
• Ensure area plans, detailed designs, and documentation created meets defined quality standards
• Feedback analysis and corrective actions for continual improvement

Discuss the potential opportunities for process optimisation and automation for continual improvement with the managers


Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years of working experience in planning, designing and detailed documentation for Australian Telco networks
• Working experience in Access, Distribution and Transit networks across the network types FTTN/FTTP/FTTC/HFC
• Skilled in the OSP and ISP design and drafting
• Working experience and understanding of aerial, underground and intrabuilding designs standards in Australia
• Working experience on MDUs design, Aerial Design, Pole Make Ready designs would be an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of GISrelated platforms, systems and tools such as SpatialNET, MapInfo, and AutoCAD Map
• Experience in ensuring the timely delivery/approval of area plans and detailed designs
• Experience in quality checking, feedback provision to the team and ensuring that quality designs are delivered

Salary:
$70, $75,000.00 per year
