Job Description:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Maintenance and Supply Planner to join a small team responsible for providing maintenance support to a recently delivered capability for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN)


Systems supported include:

  • Hydrographic Survey Vessels
  • Weather Stations and Weather RADAR equipment
  • Autonomous Underwater Vehicles
  • Hydrographic systems
  • Portable Computing Systems


Based at HMAS Waterhen (Sydney), NSW, alongside the Leidos Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for the planning of Preventative and Corrective Maintenance activities for the team as well as the preparation and submission of customer quotations.


Reporting to the Project Operations Manager, you will be the interface between the REA Sustainment Project's maintenance and supply support functions to ensure that Leidos maintains the highest levels of equipment availability to end users.

You will also be involved in the preparation of quarterly and annual project status reports to our customer.

The role will expose you to every aspect of the REA Sustainment Project from maintenance and supply support to engineering and commercial.


Responsibilities will include:
Maintenance Support

  • Raise work orders and/or AMPS work packages for Preventative and Corrective maintenance activities.
  • Follow up with Leidos maintenance team for status of planned maintenance activities.
  • Updating equipment hours
  • Monitor open work orders to ensure completion and sign off by Leidos Senior Maintenance Manager (or delegate).
  • Raise purchase requisitions for subcontracted work packages.
  • Escalation of risks to ontime completion of Preventative Maintenance activities to Project Operations Manager or Senior Maintenance Manager.
  • Completion of work orders and/or AMPs work packages with relevant Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) where necessary and appropriate for sign off by Leidos Senior Maintenance Manager (or delegate).
  • Prepare, review and distribute maintenance due lists to Leidos maintenance team and vessel maintenance subcontractors.
Supply Support

  • Preparation and submission of supplier Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
  • Preparation and submission of customer quotations.
  • Maintenance of Leidos quote and purchase request registers.
  • Register and process new customer purchase orders (POs).
  • Raise requests for purchase order (purchase requisition) on Leidos procurement team.
  • Raise requests for invoices on Leidos Accounts Receivable department.
Other

  • Collation of REA Sustainment Contract Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordination of quarterly and annual project status reports preparation and submission.
  • Provide supply support and maintenance support inputs into quarterly and annual project status reports.
  • Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • Qualification in (or study towards) engineering, project management, or related field;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and technical writing skills;
  • Experience and knowledge with computer software packages including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint).
  • Desirable, but not essential previous experience with Navy systems such as MILIS or AMPS.
