Working in a factory, a part of a production line. Creating prefabricated walls.

The duties will be:

General hand tool skills
Drilling holes
Screwing steel into plasterboard
Cutting measuring and gluing bits together apart of a team at different work stations
Getting instructions from the team leaders
Being safe and looking after equipment

Description

The operation works in sections, first they start with the metal framing to get it all cut to size and length, then the plasterboard is cut and measured to the right specs, both raw components are then passed on to the assembly table where the metal framing is layered in glue, then manually the plasterboard is placed on top and with the use of power tools screwed down and the whole thing is then flipped over glued and plaster laid on the other side as well.

All edges are rounded off and then the whole thing is stacked up with the other complete walls and sent up to the wrapping station to be wrapped and sent to site.

Forklift operators will be driving raw materials to the stations such as the metal framing or the plaster boards, also taking the complete stacks to the wrapping stations and loading and unloading trucks, warehouse is tight in areas so forklift driver must be well experienced.

Job Offer
