Our Purpose

VicReturn is an exciting new business, tasked with the oversight and administration of Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme ("CDS Vic"), which is scheduled to launch in November 2023.

At VicReturn we are motivated to help keep beverage containers out of landfill, creating clean streams of recycled materials that help to build our Circular Economy by promoting product stewardship of all Beverage Suppliers in Victoria.

As the appointed Scheme Coordinator for CDS Vic, we work with government and partners to oversee the building of a large-scale container recycling network which will play a key role in transforming Victoria's waste and recycling system.

Through a 10c refund for every eligible container returned we will encourage Victorians to collect and recycle their beverage containers, making a positive difference to our people, environment and local industry.

Description:

About the role:

You will develop continuous review and improvement initiatives with our operational partner entities and through collaboration with the Operations Engagement Manager and across VicReturn teams.

The role will focus on building productive and mutually beneficial working relationships, removing inhibitors for success, championing VicReturn's objectives and goals whilst driving contractual performance.

You will be responsible for the accurate measurement of key indicators of business performance through the provision of analytical analysis, key insights and reporting.

It will ensure positive open communication occurs between the key stakeholders whilst ultimately championing VicReturn's business objectives and goals.

Skills and Experiences:

About you:

Demonstrated ability to coordinate and facilitate teams/resources to respond to opportunities and leading teams in a collaborative manner that prioritizes collective achievement.
Experience in operations, account management and /or within the recycling industry.
Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering agreed outcomes within a timeframe.
An analytical mind able to measure performance and key metrics, with an ability to present data and provide key insights.
High level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to represent VicReturn to external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external groups.
Bachelor level qualification.
