Global Sustainability Manager
My client is seeking a Global Sustainability Manager to join their firm, which uses blockchain technology to build trusted, resilient, efficient and secure supply chains.
The Firm
Providing transparency to the agriculture industry, to showcase the quality, sustainability, and integrity of Australia's highly valued produce, the company's technology provides producers with traceability and control over their products.
The Role
The Global Sustainability Manager will primarily work with the company's clients to house their sustainability data on the company's platform and provide clients with a broad range of risk and advisory services focused on today's most pressing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) needs relating to supply chain management.
In addition, this role will conduct research to determine a base line and then monitor the clients' performance against its sustainability benchmarks.
This will be managed by ensuring clients are capturing metrics and pushing them to the company's platform, including carbon emissions and reductions, water security, biodiversity, energy efficiency, air and water pollution, and waste management.
This data provides traceability and provenance via blockchain technology.You will create and manage governance and reporting systems in a strategic sustainability context, captured in a dashboard environment.
You
You will have experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis to support decision-making and effectively communicate findings to a broad audience.
You will have a strong affinity for audit, process mapping and documentation. An appreciation for, or experience in an agricultural environment would be beneficial.
With a strong awareness of current sustainability best practice, initiatives and key market drivers including carbon net zero, circular economy and social value, you will be keen to remain abreast of the latest technology to assist in the reduction of emissions and adherence to legislation and regulation.
Identifying improvement areas and providing advice and guidance to advance the company and the clients towards more eco friendly initiatives, utilising the latest climate research and an understanding of the complexities of environmental management will be a key focus area.
This will drive clients' sustainability performance as a method of facilitating top line growth, drive consumer preference and optimise investment and/or capital raising opportunities.

MBA or equivalent business experience

Experience in researching, analysing data and preparing reports
