The Role:


  • Join a modern 600bed Tertiary Hospital as an Emergency Medicine.

  • PR*The Fellow is supervised by Specialists and will assist in the supervision of Junior Medical Officers in the Emergency Department, as well as provide direct clinical care for patients.
You will have successfully completed the Fellowship Examination for ACEM.

Doctors who have completed the examination and research requirements, and have less than 6 months of training time to complete, or have completed the training time and are awaiting formal awarding of fellowship may also be considered for the position.


The Facility:

The Hospital is the largest public hospital for the region.

It provides care to a population in excess of 500,000 through a range of services that include acute inpatient and day services, outpatient services, women's and children's services, paediatrics and pathology.

The Emergency Department sees over patients per year, with approximately 20% paediatric age group.

The department has a diverse and interesting case-mix, with a high trauma load due to its role as the only trauma centre in this catchment area.

The Requirements:

NZ ED Registrar wanting to come and live in Australia for 12 months or more.
