Permanent/Continuing, part time appointment (0.6FTE, 21 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday)

  • Level 5: $73,508 $83,130 (prorata) + 17% Superannuation


They will be responsible for overseeing a range of the unit's premises including the gallery, stores and workshop as well as maintaining equipment and supplies.

The technician will lead on the installation of artworks across all university locations including some regional campus work.

They will effectively plan and time manage campus artwork displays alongside gallery exhibitions and will supervise casual staff and contractors where necessary.

The technician will be used to working at heights using ladders, platforms and EWPs and will have the capabilities required to adjust gallery lighting, install cabling, lift heavy objects and manoeuvre artwork trolleys safely across campus.

As part of a small part-time team, flexibility is essential.

Report writing and communication with clients, staff, artists and donors will be required as well as a can-do attitude and assistance with arts events delivered by the unit such as gallery openings.
