About Toowoomba Grammar School
Toowoomba Grammar School was founded in 1875.

It is an independent non-denominational day and boarding school for boys with a total enrolment of 1,200 from Preparatory to Year 12.

There are approximately 300 boarders in the School coming predominantly from throughout Queensland, Northern New South Wales and the Northern Territory.

The School's campus covers 20.5 hectares and is located one kilometre from the centre of Toowoomba.


It is our vision that our boys will graduate from TGS with the skills to be independent, well-balanced, and successful in life.

That they are boys of good character who respond well to challenges and achieve life-long wellbeing.


New First-class Technologies Precinct
Toowoomba Grammar School recently unveiled plans for its inspiring Masterplan.

Phase One will see the development of a first-class Technologies Precinct, comprising a Design, Engineering and Technology facility and an Agriculture and Industry Centre.

These developments give the School potential to increase offerings to meet the needs and interests of our students, facilitate diverse options in the types of projects they can undertake and offer opportunities beyond the curriculum.

With all technologies in the custom designed facilities, we will be able to take a more multidisciplinary approach to technologies, agricultural and engineering offerings through a lens of environmental impact and sustainability to support our goals in preparing students for life beyond Toowoomba Grammar School.

  • Educational Leadership: Demonstrated ability to strategically analyse data to identify areas for improvement in teaching, curriculum, and student performance with a proven track record of staying updated with research and best practices in pedagogy, and the ability to effectively support staff in implementing innovative teaching and learning strategies. Experience in fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in curriculum design, delivery, and assessment to achieve high-quality outcomes for all students.

People Management and Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and enthuse both staff and students in their learning journey and a demonstrated ability to manage, lead, and coach staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Experience in conducting performance reviews and developing professional development plans to enhance staff performance and support their growth.

Student Engagement and Motivation: Track record of motivating and enthusing students, particularly boys, in their learning journey. Ability to create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that fosters active participation, critical thinking, and a passion for learning.

Use of Technology in Education: Proficiency in leveraging technology as an integral part of the teaching process to enhance student learning outcomes. Demonstrated ability to integrate digital tools and resources effectively to engage students and promote digital literacy.
