The Learning Transformations Unit at Swinburne University of Technology is looking for a Learning Designer (VET LEAP) to join their team


VET Learning Experience Accelerator Program (LEAP) is a professional development program in which the learning designer will work with VET educators to build on their capabilities and confidence in implementing a student-centred blended learning approach.


The Learning Designer will support teaching staff across VET with practical assistance focused on the design, development and evaluation of online and blended learning, and the development of new approaches to learning, teaching and assessment.


Reporting to the Manager VET LEAP, the Learning Designer (VET LEAP) will liaise extensively with teaching and professional staff across VET.


About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated commitment to and experience in innovative approaches to developing units and courses for blended learning
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Ability to train and support VET teaching staff in learning design and the use of technologies for blended learning, assessment design and eportfolio implementation
  • Ability to liaise with staff across the University and external stakeholders to support the embedding of technology in learning and teaching

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree and/or extensive relevant experience in the areas of learning design and resource development
