KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide scheduling and administration support services to enable the PMO Cost & Schedule Analysts (CSAs) to develop and update Contract Master Schedules (CMSs), by undertaking the following:
Liaising with relevant stakeholders - including attendance at meetings and workshops - to acquire and compile complete and sufficiently detailed information required to enable the production of the CMSs;
Undertake analysis of the collated information - based on the specific CSA / Project requirements - and produce reports in the required format;
Undertake regular reviews of information and sources to ensure continuous improvement of relationships and process, based on the strategic direction of the Programs Department; and

Contribute to Programs' monthly performance reporting to the CEA Board, providing data and relevant commentary regarding cost & schedule performance of key projects.

Communicating regularly across the organisation, and where appropriate, into our key supply chain, in order to assist in: completion of scheduled activities; timely and accurate progressing of the schedule; and optimised replanning of remaining activities.


  • Contribute to identification, mitigation and resolution of project schedule risks and issues management; and
  • Contribute to project reporting to the Customer.
  • Under direction for the CSAs and where the opportunity exists:
Performing routine health checks, critical path analysis, levelling, baseline management and general control of assigned project schedules; and

Conduct analysis of project actual cost/ duration vs expected cost/ duration, with an emphasis on understanding the cause of significant cost/ schedule variances.

Provide early identification of schedule conflicts, including advice on recovery options and strategies;

  • Provide scheduling support to the business development activity:

- Enhance PMO processes & business systems:
Contribute to the maintenance of the project management procedures and work instructions;
Provision of internal training to project team members on applicable procedures and systems; and
Contribute to lessons learned activities.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES


- AGSVA Clearance level: NV1

  • Relevant project controls experience and knowledge of principles, tools and procedures.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills coupled with the ability to communicate and articulate information with senior stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
  • Strong organisational and problem solving skills, approaching all tasks with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, particularly with analysing and interpreting data.
  • Ability to work under pressure, can multitask, together with the capacity to plan and prioritise competing workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills across the MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Although not critical, the following experience would be highly regarded:
  • Experience with Open Plan Professional (or Primavera P6, MS Project Server);
  • Scheduling of Defence Acquisition (or other complex) projects; and
  • Experience in a Project Manufacturing environment.
