About the teamSprayLine Road Services is an internal delivery team within the Department of Transport providing road maintenance services, construction and associated civil works, bituminous spray sealing and line marking to DoT, other state road authorities, municipal councils, and private industry.

Key Outcomes
- Inspection compliance is maintained in accordance with the maintenance contract.
- Hazards and defects are identified and recorded accurately in accordance with maintenance contract.
- Key performance indicators associated with inspection activities are consistently met in accordance with the VRMC Key Result Areas.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to provide specialist advice in the programming of defect rectification and recommend appropriate and costeffective road maintenance treatments.
- Inspection of the road network and associated infrastructure to ensure that conditions are safe and to support the wider team in preparing work proposals.
- Ability to identify the most effective and best resolution for network repair options.
- Use conceptual and analytical skills to inspect and develop solutions to moderately complex maintenance issues.
- Exercise professional judgement to identify critical timeframes for programmed maintenance.
- Provide expert advice towards the delivery of efficient and costeffective solutions to all stakeholders in relation to engineering plans, specifications, and contract programs.
- Utilise essential communication skills to establish, forge and strengthen relationships with all, as well as contributing to negotiations to achieve successful outcomes.
- Use negotiation and influencing skills with stakeholders to ensure compliance with the maintenance contract, Road Management Act and Road Management Plan to reach successful outcomes.
- Drivers License
- Construction Induction White Card
- Certificate III in Construction
- Understanding of Asset Maintenance Management Systems
- Strong knowledge of the Road Management Plan
- Strong understanding of Maintenance Specification Section 750
