Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services currently operates Outside School Hours Care services in Catholic schools across the Sydney metropolitan area.

The number of OSHC services operated by SCECS is expanding and we now require a new dynamic person with OSHC industry experience to lead and develop a variety of services.


The Regional Operations Officers (ROO) will work closely with centre staff, supporting them with their Quality Improvement Plans and the associated practices required to offer a high-quality OSHC service for all children and their families.


Responsibilities:

The Regional Operations Officer will report to the SCECS Operations Manager and be responsible for

  • The induction of new Service Coordinators and Educators.
  • Mentor and work closely with service Coordinators as they develop the educational and care programs.
  • Maintain a close relationship with Parish/ School leaders, providing regular communication on the daytoday operations of the service and seeking feedback.
  • Step in as a floating ratio when required.
  • Services to support will be but not limited to Eastern & Inner West Suburbs
  • Work with SCECS management to ensure the safe and effective operations of our OSHC services.
  • Guide centre Coordinators in preparation for Assessment and Rating visits.
  • Evaluate services to ensure compliance with Regulations, National Quality Frame Work and Child Safety Standards. Conduct interviews for Coordinators and Educators

Skills and Experience:


  • Management and leadership experience in the OSHC/Early Childhood service environment.
  • 35 years of leadership experience in the OSHC and Early Childhood service environment.
  • Developed expertise in childcare and guided educators to deliver education and leisure programs.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and capacity to engage with stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor others to deliver highquality services.
  • Current knowledge of the National Quality Framework (Laws, Regulations and Standards) for outofschool care.
  • Hold relevant qualifications such as a Diploma in Childcare
  • Hold a current Driver's Licence and own a car.

Qualifications:


Essential:
Diploma in Early Childhood


Desirable:
Early Childhood Teaching Degree
