Program Overview:
The program is located in Dandenong/Kingston program focuses on supporting young people aged 12-25 who face chronic, longstanding, or complicated mental health or social health issues.
Position Summary:
As a member of the team, you will engage, assess, and provide evidence-based interventions for young people and their families.
Additionally, you will contribute to the development and delivery of therapeutic groups and maintain a clinical portfolio within your area of expertise.
The role requires working in collaboration with various professionals, including Mental Health Clinicians, AOD Youth Workers, Family Therapists, Carer & Youth Peer Support Workers, and Psychiatry.
Deliverables:
- Conduct assessments, case coordination, and treatment for young people with complex and chronic mental health issues.
- Provide evidencebased interventions for young people.
- Participate in clinical review meetings and present client cases.
- Develop recovery plans, make appropriate referrals, and assess their outcomes.
- Maintain an active caseload and monitor young people's progress.
- Support parents and families of young people within the program.
- Attend team meetings, clinical reviews, professional development, and program planning sessions.
- Engage in regular operational and clinical supervision.
- Complete organizational accountability and reporting requirements accurately and promptly.
- Maintain client notes and records in the Client Management System (Episoft).

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve program and organizational goals.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours as needed.
- Selfawareness, empathy, and respect for diversity.
- Complies with relevant legislation, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Prioritizes consumer needs and focuses on delivering optimal outcomes.
Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum 4+ years of experience working with young people and families.
- Experience working with young people with severe mental health issues.
- Familiarity with disengaged youth in social activities, education, and employment.
Mandatory Qualification/s, Competencies, and/or Licenses:
- Undergraduate qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social work, or related discipline.
- Eligibility for membership in the qualified field.
- Completion of Criminal History Check and Employee Working With Children Check.
- Current statebased driver's license.
