Job Description:

We are seeking an
Experience Food Process Worker to join Midas Mediterranean

Specifics:

Casual employment term
Start times staggered between 7am and 9am Monday
Thursday
Approx hours per week with opportunities for additional hours to cover leave and peak periods
More hours will be available as production increases
Longerterm opportunities available for casual employees who show exceptional skill and work ethic with potential to develop further.

Responsibilities of the role:

Independently operating and monitoring food processing equipment and machinery, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently,
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment,
Sort, wash, peel and chop vegetables, ensuring they meet quality standards,
Measure and weigh ingredients accurately according to recipes or production requirements,
Assist in the preparation of food products by assembling and mixing ingredients as directed (including meat products).
Package finished products into appropriate packaging, following labeling and packaging guidelines,
Conduct quality checks on raw materials, finished products, and packaging to maintain consistent standards,
Adhere to health and safety regulations and practices, including proper food handling of food products and personal protective equipment (PPE),
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines,
Report and equipment malfunctions, product defects or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications:

Requirements of the role:

Prior experience in food processing or manufacturing is
essential:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, standing for long periods and lifting heavy loads
(lifting up to 30kg boxes daily):
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Flexibility to work on a casual basis, including weekends and public holidays.
Exceptional attendance and punctuality is a
must
