A newly formed role for a
Purchasing Officer reporting to the Finance Manager exists for a person who can make a
positive contribution to our company mission and values.


About This Opportunity


The Purchasing Officer works with forecasting data to ensure all purchased goods are aligned with category management, supply chain, quality, and budgetary objectives of the organisation.


This role works closely with Category Management, Production and Sales to ensure the accuracy of internal data and timely delivery of quality product to the various areas of the business whist building and maintaining positive relationships with external suppliers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with planning tools to ensure accurate end to end purchase order process
  • Manage supplier interactions to ensure the products and services provided meet Flexible Drive standards while maintaining approved supplier records
  • Manage all aspects of inventory flow and ensure accurate data input
  • Foster positive relationships with approved suppliers and conduct regular evaluations of supply chain performance
  • ERP interface management including monitoring cost improvement measures and uploading accurate information
  • Assist with conducting Stocktaking activities when required
  • One to three (13) years in a similar purchasing role
  • Formal qualifications in technology and/or purchasing desirable
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Basic skills in: Problem solving, Organisation, Communication & interpersonal skills, and Computer literacy
  • Microsoft Office / Windows environment
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with or without supervision

Salary:
$60, $65,000.00 per year
