    Gallagher Bassett is Australia's leading Third Party Administrator (TPA), handling insurance claims for a variety of clients. With a global network and local resources, we offer tailored claim and risk solutions that enhance client outcomes, setting high standards in the industry.

    How you'll make an impact

    Join us during this period of transformation and growth. We're looking for a Capability and Technical Specialist to support our Self-Insurance division. Reporting to the Technical and Performance Improvement Manager, you'll collaborate with a team of experts, providing coaching, technical support, and enhancing capabilities within our claims teams. This role offers a chance to leverage your skills and experience, contributing significantly to our people's development and service offerings. Enjoy a full-time permanent position with a flexible hybrid work model, including remote options.

    In this role, you will:

    • Offer technical and operational training for new or transferred staff
    • Collaborate with the Team Manager to address knowledge gaps and develop training solutions
    • Stay updated on regulatory changes
    • Provide technical support for Case Managers and Clients
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering support for complex technical inquiries
    • Give expert advice on technical matters
    • Understand operational procedures to address staff queries effectively
    • Support the implementation of changes within the business unit

    About you

    We're seeking enthusiastic, customer-centric individuals with:

    • Experience in Victorian Workers Compensation claims management
    • Background in technical or specialist advisory roles (desired)
    • Knowledge of VIC workers compensation legislation
    • Expertise in complex claims handling
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Attention to detail and excellent communication abilities
    • Team spirit and resilience
