Sandvik is looking for a proactive and self-motivated Drilling Specialist to join our dynamic and expanding Perth team.
With mínimal supervision the Drilling Specialist will coach individuals and teams in equipment utilisation, operator efficiency and safe operating procedures.
This position focuses on delivering operator training as a value-added service to our customers, maximizing drill performance, and facilitating comprehensive reporting through the My Sandvik On-Site solution.
By providing expert training and support, we aim to enhance customer satisfaction, optimize equipment performance, and drive sales growth.Key Responsibilities
- Conducts classroom instruction and oneonone training on the operation of Sandvik Load and Haul equipment at various mine sites across the APAC region
- Works with customer operations and management to identify training needs of the employees as well as customer trainers
- Works with Technical Support Team Management and OEM Mobile Equipment groups to continuously develop and maintain training modules
- Attends technical training classes to keep up to date with changing technology, techniques, standards, and equipment
- Performs equipment inspections and site evaluations
- Assist in developing and maintaining training operator modules.
To perform in this role, you will require a minimum of 5 years' experience with operating mining equipment in the mining industry.
You will be experienced in developing and delivering training packages and courses, and comfortable with hands on training on underground mining equipment.
You will also have a thorough understanding of mining operations in addition to the below;- Proven ability to facilitate training (advantage).
- Experience with managing and/or leading teams.
- Cert 4 trainers and assessors certificate.
- Excellent communications skills relevant to training and development of others.
- Down The Hole drilling experience preferable
- Internal Customer Service disposition.
- Computer Literacy a distinct advantage (training will be provided).
