We're currently seeking an Orderly Service Manager to join our Team at The Wesley Hospital in a permanent, full-time position.

Your Role:


  • As the Orderly Services Manager and an integral part of the operational leadership team, you will lead your team by example to ensure the safe, effective, efficient and patientcentric delivery of clinical services.
  • Overseeing and monitoring the daily operational requirements and orderly workforce, you will work in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Nursing to set objectives for the department and monitor the training and education requirements of the orderly workforce.
  • Collaborating with the engineering and nursing teams to build and maintain effective systems to facilitate the management of equipment for maintenance and repair, you will also continuously evaluate work processes and implement changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of care.
  • To be successful you will demonstrate:
  • Experience in leading teams within an acute hospital environment
  • Working knowledge of Infection Control and Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of processes to facilitate safe patient transportation and manual handling
  • Knowledge of CARPS (transportation system/ program)
  • Working knowledge of acute clinical (including procedural) environments and highuse clinical equipment
  • Ability to judge concerns and escalate appropriately to facilitate safe and effective management and mitigate risk
  • Welldeveloped communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good computer literacy
  • Qualification and / or experience in a comparable leadership or management role desirable but not essential
