The Opportunity


The fulltime Electrical Engineering Technician (Feedmill) will work at our Wasleys Feedmill in Pinkerton Plains SA 5400 to support the Feedmill facilities and operations through structured delivery of reactive and preventative electrical engineering maintenance support, to ensure that the Feedmill has mínimal lost time due to electrical or system faults or failures and achieve optimal use of current assets.

Reporting to the Operations Manager - Feedmills South, some key responsibilities will include:

  • In accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and the responsibilities stated in the SunPork Work Health and Safety Management System, ensure compliance with all obligations and actions necessary to identify, assess and control workplace hazards, and maintain a safe workplace;
  • Schedule and preventative electrical engineering maintenance and maintain reliability of the Feedmill equipment ensuring strong communication with other key stakeholders to ensure appropriate maintenance is carried out in a structured and methodical way to minimise downtime and maximise reliability;
  • Work with SunPork support teams in creating, maintaining, and effectively utilising the CMMS (MEX) system to ensure that key preventative maintenance tasks are established, implemented, and recorded in a timely way to optimise equipment availability and maintain a history of work and associated costs;
  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of relevant Standard Operating Procedures

What We're Looking For


SunPork Group has established an efficient, highly skilled yet diversified team that is dedicated to producing high quality, sustainable welfare-optimal products.

As a key member of this team, the successful applicant must:

  • Electrical or industrial engineering or related qualification;
  • Minimum of 24 months of demonstrated industrial experience in related industry;
  • Restricted electrical qualification (or dual electrical trade)
  • Preferred but not essential;
  • Preventative electrical engineering maintenance experience (essential);
  • Leadership skills and demonstrated ability to engage and sustain support from peers and teams to ensure positive ownership of maintenance of equipment;
  • Experience in team leadership, contractor management and maintenance of plant and equipment all within budget constraints;
  • Sound communication and effective time management skills;
  • A current driver's licence;
  • A preparedness to work flexible hours (including some weekends and public holidays);
  • Have a positive attitude towards the intrinsic values of trust, integrity, agile, quality, innovation, and unity.
