About the business

people2people have partnered with a Queensland state government office who are looking for an experienced Communications Specialist to join their team.

About the role

Reporting to the Registrar and supporting other Senior Administration Executives, the purpose of this role is to create and distribute effective messaging across all communications and marketing platforms.

This role will see you responsible for

Revamping the departments website
Designing and distributing department newsletters
Developing new materials
Ensure messaging is effective and cohesive across all communications and marketing platforms
Identifying areas of opportunity and actioning
Various other ad hoc communications and marketing activities as required

Selection criteria
To be successful in this role you will have

Previous experience in a high functioning, autonomous communications role
The ability to comprehend regulatory requirements and government legislation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to different demographics and work groups
An understanding of newsletter design, social media mechanisms etc.
