Your part in St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital team

  • As a CSSD Sterilisation Technician, you will be responsible for the reprocessing and sterilisation of surgical instruments and equipment to the Operating Theatres and clinical areas within the Hospital.

  • Current clinical experience in sterilisation techniques.
  • Australian Standard
  • ACHS Standards.


  • NHMRC

  • Guidelines for the prevention of transmission of infectious diseases.
  • Handling of used items for sterilisation process, including collection procedures and precautions.
  • Decontamination and disinfection processes.
  • Demonstrated instrumentation knowledge & able to assemble instrument trays correctly.
  • SRACA Membership 'Sterilising Research & Advisory Council of Australia (QLD) INC (Desirable)
  • Loan Kit experience (Desirable)
