THE OPPORTUNITY

The Self-Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity of course design and delivery, meeting internal compliance requirements and external requirements of the regulators, and ensure robust, customer-centric and complaint outcomes.

Reporting to the Lead Quality Assurance Officer, this position will:

Monitor, review and report on the rules of evidence and principles of assessment ensuring they are applied in the development of product.
Ensure resources meet all the necessary standards/regulatory requirements.
Develop consistent selfassurance processes and initiatives that will inform the educational quality framework which will be implemented through quality assurance activities and programs.
Consult with stakeholders to ensure the integrity of skills and/or qualifications are embedded into quality assurance practices.
Identify issues and take corrective action, ensuring stakeholder engagement, to maintain workflow and quality outputs.

ABOUT YOU
You'll love this role if you have.

Self Assurance experience within the VET and/or tertiary education
Outstanding attention to detail to ensure quality mechanisms meet VQF requirements
Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
Sound knowledge of legislative requirements such as the Standards for RTO 2015, Standards for VET Accredited Courses 2021, ESOS Act 200 and National Code 2018.

What you need for success:

Appropriate Degree or Diploma at AQF levels 58, and appropriate vocational and/or industrial experience.
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment including the following units of competency: TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools and TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills or its successors.
Working knowledge of Adult Education, Teaching, Learning and Assessment principles and good practices.
