THE OPPORTUNITY

The Self-Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity of course design and delivery, meeting internal compliance requirements and external requirements of the regulators, and ensure robust, customer-centric and complaint outcomes.

Reporting to the Lead Quality Assurance Officer, this position will:

  • Monitor, review and report on the rules of evidence and principles of assessment ensuring they are applied in the development of product.
  • Ensure resources meet all the necessary standards/regulatory requirements.
  • Develop consistent selfassurance processes and initiatives that will inform the educational quality framework which will be implemented through quality assurance activities and programs.
  • Consult with stakeholders to ensure the integrity of skills and/or qualifications are embedded into quality assurance practices.
  • Identify issues and take corrective action, ensuring stakeholder engagement, to maintain workflow and quality outputs.

ABOUT YOU
You'll love this role if you have.

  • Self Assurance experience within the VET and/or tertiary education
  • Outstanding attention to detail to ensure quality mechanisms meet VQF requirements
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
  • Sound knowledge of legislative requirements such as the Standards for RTO 2015, Standards for VET Accredited Courses 2021, ESOS Act 200 and National Code 2018.

What you need for success:

  • Appropriate Degree or Diploma at AQF levels 58, and appropriate vocational and/or industrial experience.
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment including the following units of competency: TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools and TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills or its successors.
  • Working knowledge of Adult Education, Teaching, Learning and Assessment principles and good practices.
