UGLs Manufacturing and Maintenance business are looking for a high performing Warehouse Manager to join our $2.3 billion New Intercity Fleet (NIF) project team.

This project will oversee the replacement of trains carrying customers from Sydney to the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Blue Mountains and the South Coast.

UGL will operate a new maintenance facility and provide maintenance and asset management services to the new fleet for 15 years.


  • About your role
  • As the

Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating all facets of inventory and logistics management for the Mariyung Project for both UGL, our partner and customer. This role will be offered on a full-time permanent basis, with up to 6 direct reports across the warehouse.

Reporting to the Planning & Logistics Manager, you will deliver direct support service for all production requirements conducted within the project in conjunction with overseeing all purchasing to efficiently and effectively manage all goods inward, storage, goods outward, cycle counting, expediting of purchase orders and logistics.

The role is responsible for the control, accuracy and timely delivery of materials to production, sub-contractors, customers and Mariyung sites and stabling yards as required.


  • About you
  • Previous experience in a Warehouse Management role ideally covering multiple sites and with direct reports.
  • Appropriate trade AND/OR tertiary level qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in modern warehouse processes, and familiar with MRP/ERP systems
  • Experience of workload planning and resource allocation and leading small focused teams
  • Relevant management and supervisory experience, with sound understanding of budgetary, cost control and performance management activities
  • Some proficiency in planning / supply chain software is preferred
Experienced gained in the rail, automotive, military, defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment.
