About the Opportunity

  • Predominantly this role is Garden based maintenance hedging, pruning trees, lawncare general groundskeeping, with mínimal internal maintenancebased work.
  • Assist with the prevention of equipment breakdowns by undertaking scheduled preventative maintenance as well as corrective maintenance tasks
  • Assist in the engagement, induction and management of external contractors
  • Identify and undertake maintenance and repair activities in an efficient and cost effective manner
  • Undertake periodic inspection and maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment in accordance with maintenance schedules and procedures and ensuring budget requirements are met
  • Undertake the maintenance of the facility's grounds in accordance with relevant garden/landscaping schedules and procedures and ensuring budget requirements are met
  • Oversee the maintenance and/or gardening services work performed by outside contractors to ensure the required outcomes are met
  • Undertake the ordering, delivery, stock control process for consumable items used in maintenance and gardening activities for area of responsibility
  • For area of responsibility, undertake the procurement process required, such as obtaining quotes, purchase orders, organising for invoices to be approved for payment etc.
  • Ensure that for work undertaken, the relevant Australian Standards and Regulations are observed
  • Comply with health and safety requirements relating to maintenance and gardening activities

About You

  • A' Class licence.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices specifically in equipment and garden machinery
  • A current National Police Clearance no older than 12 months
  • Evidence of current Covid vaccinations
  • Evidence of current Flu Vaccination
  • Certificate IV level qualification (e.g., Certificate IV in Engineering Certificate IV in Parks, and Gardening), as required by Acacia Living Group, or possess the knowledge, skills and experience deemed to be the equivalent by Acacia Living Group
