The Role
Due to the recent transition of the current Product Manager, the automotive team are looking to hire a Product Manager.
We're seeking a Product Manager to complement their range of products across automotive managing key brands selling into retailers.As the Product Manager, ANZ the role encompasses a broad array of tasks, including but not limited to; marketing mix, value propositions, product portfolio lifecycle management, 3 year brand plans, managing innovation through stage gate process, product launches, pricing and promotions, competitor analysis, managing the marketing calendar, technology roadmaps, products and packaging, product knowledge, quality and compliance, P&L contribution, CX and engagement.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Owns the brand strategy, positioning and value propositions executed through all elements of the marketing mix, including through sales enablement tools and programs
- Development of value propositions, marketing and product claims, including compliance and substantiation management
- Product portfolio lifecycle management, including simplification, outsourcing, importing, and manufacturing decisions aligned to the Business Model
- Manages innovation, renovation, new imports and product changes in line with the innovation stage gate process as well as product launches, pricing and promotions
- Lead price positioning strategy benchmarked against competitors, develop new product pricing and consult on cost saving and / or value engineering projects
- Executes (in partnership with sales team) against the marketing and promotional calendar for each channel to drive maximum revenue
Skills & Experience
About you
- 3 5 years' experience in product management
- Demonstrated passion and expertise in the automotive or commercial markets
- Track record of insight identification, marketing planning & communications, product innovation and product/technology roadmaps
- Working effectively with teams in multiple locations, with strong credibility & influencing skills and trusted relationships
- Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving complex problems and opportunities
- Ideally you will have experience working in the automotive industry or a manufacturing business.
