  • As one of Australia's largest pure coal producers continues with its growth initiatives, a vacancy has arisen for a Coal Quality and Logistics Coordinator to join their Operations Team located in Newcastle. This position is responsible for coordinating the timely delivery of coal to meet customer shipping requirements. With over 40 million tonnes exported last year, this role will suit a solutionfocused, team contributor who thrives in a fast pace environment.
  • Forming part of a highperforming team you will work an 8 days on, 6 days off roster (Wednesday to Wednesday). Occasionally you will be 'on call' after business hours to resolve any issues that may arise. While on call, you will receive an additional 10% allowance.
  • You will enjoy the challenges of the following duties:
  • Coordination of train delivery schedules and port stockpiles to ensure correct quality and timely delivery of coal to customers
  • Timely assessment of deliveries to sales to ensure optimisation and or correction
  • Management of shortterm logistic forecast and data entry into SAP and pittoport planning systems.
  • Action planning of port stockpiles to ensure rail offtakes are uninterrupted and quality is effectively managed
  • Actively be involved in quality management and monitoring the Train Load Out to the Port and to Customers.
  • Communicate to relevant internal parties of mine and logistic infrastructure restrictions that may cause issues affecting coal delivery
  • Participate in 24x7 coverage for railing, shipping, quality management and other associated tasks
To be considered for this position you will possess the following experience:

  • Exposure to Operational Environments such as bulk cargo terminal operations, shipping and rail operations Coal Quality
  • Knowledge of Queensland and NSW coal chains
  • Knowledge of pittoport scheduling and planning techniques
  • Have exposure to shipment loading and coal quality
  • Ability to work as a 'team player' in a small workgroup environment
