- $77,607 - $96,267 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation
  • The department has an Individual Flexibility Arrangement (IFA) Framework to provide salaries that are consistent with other Commonwealth Public Sector Agencies and to reward and retain high performing employees at the APS6 and Executive Levels._
  • Under this Framework, APS6 and Executive Level employees will have access to the IFA Framework on engagement, promotion or movement from another Commonwealth Public Sector Agency. Access to the IFA Framework is consistent with the provisions of clauses 16, 17 and 19 of the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development Enterprise Agreement 2016._

The Finance Branch provides specialist financial management advice, develops and delivers on both external and internal budgets, statutory obligations and related policies services.
  • The opportunity we have available
  • The role of the Finance Business Partner is to deliver customer focused, fitforpurpose and professional
- financial management and budgeting services on behalf of the Chief Financial Officer, to Senior Executives and staff, particularly on complex matters such as financial planning, forecasting, costing and reporting.

  • What will you do?

Finance Business Partner

  • Develop and manage budget information, including staffing, operational and capital.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for Senior Executive, including variance analysis, commentary and analysis of the full year forecast.
  • Monitor and review monthly forecasts in partnership with our stakeholders.
  • Provide advice on emerging and material financial impacts on the financial performance of our stakeholders.
  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships to promote partnerships and seamless financial services.
  • Track divisional staffing movements and recruitment activity.
  • Support the development of internal funding proposals.
  • Prepare monthly financial accruals.
  • Coordinate input into the end of financial year process and ANAO audit requests and compliance activities
  • Contribute towards business and operational planning.
  • Coordinate financial input into divisional reporting requirements including the annual report, senate estimates, questions on notice and ministerial briefings.

Technical knowledge

  • Demonstrated experience in management accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial accounting in the government sector.
