As a member of the Fraud Strategy & Prevention Section, you will be helping to ensure compliance with the legislative requirements for fraud control, contributing to the integrity of DVA payments, systems, processes and staff by managing fraud risks and helping to govern and support the department's approach to fraud and non-compliance.

This position within the Fraud Strategy & Prevention Section will be tasked to resource the Scams Helpdesk function.

This role would be responsible for assisting with the creation and ongoing maintenance of this function with the goal of providing our veterans with information on how to protect themselves from scams, where to go for further information and create a process to report DVA related scams.


Duties

  • To support the development of DVA's Scams Response Framework, to increase support provided to veterans for veteran related scam activity.
  • Researching legislative and policy issues as required
  • Analyse, interpret, and evaluate information/data from a broad range of sources
  • Contribute to the development of highquality documents including the scams response framework and associated operational procedures and guidelines
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal and external communications and education materials
  • Assist with other activities as required.

A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions within the next 18 months.
