What you'll be doing


The Eating Disorders Dietitian works within the Illawarra Eating Disorders Service providing a high level of clinical expertise and knowledge in the area of eating disorders.

The position is responsible for planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of dietetic services for individual clients, families and client groups, as well as health promotion.


This is a temporary Part Time 24 hours per week maternity relief position until 28 January 2024 with the possibility of an extension at same/reduced hours**All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

Successful applicants to the role must provide certified documentation of vaccination history and pathology as part of their recruitment documentation.

Selection Criteria

  • Eligible for full membership to the Dietitians Association of Australia.
  • Extensive clinical experience including the specialty clinical area or related field.
  • Welldeveloped time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and service evaluation processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to contribute to own and the teams professional development, to act as a resource person and mentor to others within the specialty.
  • NSW driver's licence.
