We are looking to hire a Country Manager, Australia to join our team of experts in a dynamic and growing company that is driving the energy transition.


What you will be doing.


The Country Manager's role entails responsibility for the day-to-day management decisions, overseeing the strategic development and executing the strategic and tactical plans of the Company within specific locations.

The Country Manager is responsible for effectively managing the performance of employees to ensure deliverables in accordance with instructions, procedures and policies.


  • Day to day running of all projects, ensuring schedules and budgets are met, maintaining financial control
  • Have oversight of all Business Line within ABL Group
  • Prepare tenders and proposals.
  • Support the Regional Management team in growing all business line offerings.
  • Maintain and develop new and existing clients through appropriate proposition and relevant liaison to optimize quality of service, business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Provide motivational leadership for all operational / technical and administrative functions.
  • Implement and continuously improve work processes to deliver excellence.
  • Manage operating costs to maximize profitability and provide relevant reports as required by management.
  • Ensure all operations, deliverables and quality of reports are in accordance with approved instructions, and ABL procedures and policies.
  • Abide by specific internally established control systems and authorities, to lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with the applicable laws and the Company's standards and policies including its QHSE policies.
  • Provide coaching, training, mentoring and motivation to subordinates.
  • Staying uptodate with the current local market status is of paramount importance, and it is equally vital to provide insights and recommendations to the management.
  • Establish productive business relationships with potential brands and clients.
  • Contribute to crossfunctional teams with measurable analysis and implement strategic roadmaps.
  • Accomplish all tasks and any other duties as appropriately assigned.

What we are looking for.

  • At least 10 years relevant professional experience within the O&G and Maritime Industry with at least 5 years
  • Experience in executing mid to large scale executive business plans and project development
  • Master Mariner (STCW II/2), Chief Engineer (STCW III/2), Naval Architect or relevant degree, or equivalent with significant offshore related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive relevant business line experience
  • Fully conversant with marine and engineering consultancy to the offshore oil and gas markets
  • Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
  • Project orientated with a keen interest in offshore engineering and marine management
  • Will have relevant offshore industry experience
