As a Data Analyst in the Corporate Operations Group, you will be part of a team delivering data initiatives within a transformational program dedicated to enhancing the employee experience.

You will be supporting the Macquarie Starters, Transfers, Leavers process with responsibilities to drive continuous improvement in data and technology as well as building and maintaining trusted solution for the business.

This role will allow you to leverage your data skills to understand business problems, create insights and design dashboards for data visualisation.

You will ideally bring the following skills and experience to the role:

  • excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills
- translate business requirements to specific data analytic tasks; carry out analysis, visual design, and presentation design for audiences.
- perform ad-hoc insight analysis to solve business problems and support decisions.
- provide data consulting to non-tech background stakeholders.
- design and build Power BI dashboards including defining data models.
- collaboration with the STL team and provide insights to Data Engineers, BAs, and architects.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years hands-on experience interpreting and telling data stories
  • 3+ years experience designing and delivering data visualization products
- be curious and business outcome driven, with the ability to break down complex problems and independently define solutions
- strong collaboration skills, worked comfortably with tech and business stakeholders at different levels
- comfortable working across a wide range of data sets and systems
- good working knowledge of relational databases for interrogating data
- have commercial exposure in corporate, consultancy or start-up environments
- have solid data modelling and data-warehouse knowledge with data architecture principles
