    Work location:
    Perth based (525 Great Eastern Highway)

    Roster:

    Monday to FridayIn support of Fortescue's strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet.

    Key ResponsibilitiesWorking in collaboration with the broader Engineering team as well as the project management and workshop execution teamsCapable of prioritizing and delivering work in a fast-moving environmentAbility to adjust to change quickly and adapt to new requirementsProactively deliver on the company's stretch targetsDevelop technical specifications to meet project specific objectivesInterpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications and scopesResolution of technical and design issuesEnsure compliance to the project management process by project ownersProvide guidance regarding project budget, cash flow and schedule for existing and future projectsLiaising with a range of key stakeholders on all technical aspects of projectsProviding regular updates with the Mechanical Principal EngineerQualifications and Experience

    Essential:
    Engineering or Science degreeEstablished post-qualification experience and accreditation in product development and industrial rolesVery high attention to engineering detailsAbility to demonstrate technical skills on expert level by scrutinising technical outputs and returning constructive feedback for improvementNumerical analysisProduct development tools and processesStandards and technical governance, or other engineering fieldsContribute to writing processes and standardsMentor junior engineersPreferred:Demonstrated senior experience specifying, designing, or testing Rolling Stock Mechanical systems such as bogies, structures, noise, vibrations, mechanical sub-systems, and dynamicsWorking knowledge of industry standards from AS/RISSB and EN seriesSenior level awareness of mechanical design, manufacture and test obligations relating to environmental performance, dynamics, RAMS, SIL, and the demonstration of safety SFAIRPOur Commitment
