Description

Your role will be to uplift existing processes and templates for project and program managers across the project management discipline (finance, reporting, schedules, etc.) and driving continuous improvement.

This is an initial contract till 12 February 2024 with potential to extend, based in Brisbane CBD.

Key responsibilities:

Driving improvements and uplifting PMO capabilities
Developing and implementing robust processes, supporting the overall governance and controls
Refining existing PMO practices in line with changing requirements and assisting in the establishment of best practices and frameworks
Ensure financial information projects, programs and portfolios is accurate and up todate
Support Project managers in building quality forecasts and ensuring project costs are captured correctly
Appropriate management of portfolio costs, budgets and forecasts
Regular, timely and accurate project reporting to key stakeholder groups in accordance with required format and timeframes
Proactively lead RAID activities, review and oversight of mitigation strategies, escalations and creation of RAID reporting e.g. run risk workshops, facilitate and capture mitigation plans
Governance, quality and assurance management.

Skills and experience required:

Experience in a Enterprise, Program or Portfolio PMO supporting change across a business wide transformation/large complex business and technology programs
Excellent interpersonal skills and effective senior stakeholder management with proven ability to influence stakeholders to deliver sustainable outcomes
Knowledge of project management frameworks, Waterfall and Agile methodologies, SDLC, and project governance in an IT environment
PM Certification (eg PMBOK, PMP, MSP, P3O, Safe Agile) is advantageous
Understanding of Portfolio and Project Management principles and processes
Facilitation, coaching and mentoring.
