This high-profile University are currently seeking an experienced Security Analyst fort a large network segmentation project to assist the implementation team in completing IT Asset classifications and development of access rules.

There are approximately 100 buildings that require network segmentation, your role will be to identify the types of IT Assets in each building and develop access rules between building security zones and data centres.

Key activities

Liaise with key stakeholders and project team, such as Global Networks, CISO, End User Computing, Building Management, Audio Visual, etc. to identify the types of IT Assets in each building
For each building, review IT Assets identified and classified by the ClearPass IT Asset identification module.

Where the ClearPass solution has been unable to classify IT Assets, conduct a manual classification using approaches such as:

Reviewing Forescout eyeSight data, which also has an IT Asset identification and classification capability and has visibility of devices connected to the Campus network.
Liaising with teams that support the IT devices in Campus buildings, such as the Building Services and Audio-Visual teams.
Based on the above identification and classification of IT Assets, develop access rules between building security zones and Data Centres
Assist the implementation team with planning the network segmentation of buildings
Assisting the implementation team with diagnosing issues encountered during execution, such as diagnosing IT Asset classification issues or access rule issues
