The Manager, DFVDRU is required to effectively lead and manage the unit in its continued delivery of high quality specialist assistance to coroners in their investigation of domestic and family violence related deaths under the Coroners Act 2003, and its delivery of high quality analysis and support to the independent systemic reviews of these deaths by the DFVDRAB.


The role has up to 8 direct reports and is responsible for leading the enhancement of the unit as a result of reforms associated with the Women's Safety and Justice Taskforce's First Report, Hear her voice The Manager is required to have strong leadership skills and experience managing a team, including knowledge of human resource responsibilities, and workplace health and safety requirements.


Applicants are advised that the work of the CCQ may expose employees to confronting and disturbing material including distressing and offensive content.

Although formal support mechanisms are available, applicants should consider this and their personal resilience and coping strategies to sustain working in confronting and challenging circumstances.

The role reports to the Director, CCQ.


Note:
Relevant social and behavioural sciences, human services, and/or management qualifications/experience would be desirable.
