The Role

The Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) is seeking APS EL1 Product Managers to join our Supplier Performance teams within the C-130J Hercules and C-27J Spartan Asset Management Units.

You will be responsible for the financial management of the sustainment budget and contract management activities in a complex Defence sustainment environment and in accordance with Commonwealth legislative and policy requirements.


You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve sustainment capability outcomes, through both the implementation of effective contracting arrangements and the ongoing management of these arrangements.

In addition, you will be responsible for providing advice to stakeholders on a range of contract issues to improve value for money and minimise legal and commercial risks.

As a leader, you will support and motivate your team to come together and excel in order to achieve organisational objectives, whilst continuing to pursue your own self-development goals.


About our Team

Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) is a business unit within the Airlift and Tanker Systems (ATS) branch of Aerospace Systems Division (ASD) within Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).

ALSPO is the in-service support agency responsible for sustaining and enhancing the RAAF's C-130J Hercules and C-27J Spartan aircraft.

ALSPO, in partnership with industry, exists to support the RAAF's Air Mobility Group achieve its mission by providing effective sustainment support solutions.


The Asset Management Units are highly capable and professional teams operating in a dynamic integrated ADF and APS work environment.

Building and maintaining cooperative and collaborative relationships are fundamental to our success.


Located in Greater Western Sydney at RAAF Base Richmond, an hour west of Sydney, the Base has an employee accessible gym, tennis and squash court, pool and cinema.
