The Role

The Directorate of Strategic Resourcing is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated APS5 Financial Analyst to support budget and analytics activities across Defence Digital Group (DDG).

As a member of the Strategic Resourcing team, you will enable the Directorate and DDG to meet the current and future financial demands of Defence.


The APS5 Financial Analyst will play a key role in our team by supporting monthly reporting and forecasting to DDG Executives and meeting DDG Executive directives and requests.

You will work across a range of financial activities supporting the team and collaborating with internal stakeholders. You will be provided opportunities to learn about Defence finance processes and the DDG environment.


About our Team

The Directorate of Strategic Resourcing sits within the Portfolio Management Office Branch (PMOB) and we provide reporting and budget analysis support and coordination to the Senior Executives within DDG to enable better understanding of their contractual arrangements and budget spend.

This role ensures financial transparency of spend, appropriate prioritisation of operationally critical activities and effective communication of financial pressures to key departmental stakeholders.

PMOB is a new Branch within Group Operations Division (GOD). PMOB is made up of four Directorates which includes the Directorate of Strategic Resourcing.

Those joining the PMOB will need to be flexible and adaptive as we build our teams and establish new ways of working across DDG.

The Directorate of Strategic Resourcing is looking for a skilled, experienced and dedicated finance professional to join the Budget Team.


  • Team oriented, with sound relationship and interpersonal skills to encourage selfimprovement and professional development within a high performing team;
  • Experienced in fostering productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders;
  • Manage priorities to meet the needs and expectations of the Executive Team;
  • Strong analytical stills and attention to detail;
  • Have knowledge of and/or experience in the budget and forecasting environment;
  • Experience in financial analysis;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
