About the business:

Our client is a longstanding Melbourne based business that was established in 1959.

Their business model is unique in the way that it looks to provide a broad range of services to their client with technology network services, full service desk support and managed floor service to over 1,500 employees in seven buildings across the CBD.


Position Purpose
In this role you will be given the opportunity to drive technology operations and initiatives.


Reporting into and working closely with the Head of Technology, this role will advise and deliver technology services by leading an internal team of technical specialists and managing vendors for all managed services and project delivery.


The role has diversity across both IT infrastructure and solutions and the client service centre, liaising with a range of stakeholders and driving change throughout the business and to its clients.


Core Accountabilities

  • Lead the technology team, generating new ideas and continuous process improvement
  • Administration of project and operational costs
  • Delivery of the cybersecurity roadmap and new technologies
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships for service support including software, hardware and networkrelated vendors, consultants and partners.
  • Provide input towards technical processes and requirements for all areas of the business and its affiliations
  • Monitor and maintain a high level of customer service through escalations and Service Desk management
  • Support the Head of Technology and the wider leadership team in the delivery of new initiatives, continuous improvement, governance, and process development

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Experience leading technology projects
  • Strong technical background in enterprise server, cloud services (including Office 365), networking, and security infrastructure
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Demonstrated diverse leadership capability, ability to motivate and encourage in a positive manner
  • Client service experience and understanding of customer behaviour
  • Desirable
  • Industry certifications (CCNA, VCP, MCSA, etc.)
  • ITIL experience
  • Project management certification such as PRINCE2

Skills and Competencies

  • Sound technical competence in technology and service operations
  • Demonstrates a high level of selfawareness
  • Jointly manage vendors including change control and technical deliverables
  • Demonstrates the ability to positively manage the internal IT Team
  • Challenges the statusquo and strives to improve the internal culture of through facilitating knowledge sharing, innovation and cross functional teamwork.
