The Division


The Customer Strategy, Technology and Innovation division within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW.

We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.


About the team


The Brand and Marketing branch creates engaging end-to-end campaigns and strategies to drive behaviour change, improve safety, save lives on our roads and waterways, encourage public transport use, connect communities, and deliver the transport solutions of the future.

The Opportunity


Right now, we have a 12 month fixed term full time contract opportunity for a Marketing Officer to join the Brand & Marketing team based at Elizabeth Street Office.

Your Key Focus

  • Implement individual programs of marketing and communications initiatives which assist in positively positioning public transport with frequent and infrequent customers and which drives patronage growth on public transport and safe use of our roads and waterways.
  • Deliver integrated marketing communications that support operational changes to public transport services
  • Engage and collaborate with TfNSW and operator contacts on key projects and initiatives to address business needs
  • Coordinate the effective integration of messaging across multiple channels based on agreed schedule of activity
  • Lead the design, production and delivery of marketing and communication materials against agreed scope of work
  • Manage budgets and timelines for marketing campaigns
  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of programs of work to ensure delivery on campaign outcomes
  • Develop and coordinate the drafting of campaign Peer Review documents and Cabinet Submissions as required

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing and/or Communications (or related discipline) or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing and digital marketing
  • Experience with volume campaigns and working with media agencies
  • Understanding of Government Advertising Act (desirable)
  • You will have demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • You will have the ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a collaborative team environment whilst maintaining a high level of work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to think logically, analytically and critically
  • You will possess experience in building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders alike

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 7 ($108,770 - $121,822) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
