About the role:


The S-Check Project Officer is responsible for working in collaboration with the Service Manager, Outpatient Manager and Community Outpatient Manager to plan, coordinate and implement project deliverables, including research projects that will improve service delivery for consumers utilising the S-Check Service.

The incumbent will be required to undertake project-related organisational tasks including managing, monitoring and reporting progress to ensure projects are delivered within timeframes and budget.

For this, the incumbent will be required to take initiative, work independently and effectively work with multiple stakeholders. The Project Officer will require high level skills to manage and coordinate concurrent projects effectively.

Selection Criteria

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
  • Relevant tertiary level qualifications and/or project management experience as deemed appropriate by the organisation in project planning, evaluation and reporting.
  • Demonstrated project organisational skills including strategic thinking, implementation and evaluation.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills including ability to draft high level advice and policies and procedures related to the alcohol and other drugs sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and complete several tasks concurrently, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of a harm minimisation approach within the alcohol and other drugs treatment sector
  • Demonstrated computer skills including the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders.
