$85,503-$89,106 + Attractive Superannuation

The Integrity Operations Section is responsible for activities contributing to the prevention, detection and deterrence of non-compliance and/or fraudulent behaviour against DVA's programs and services.


Duties

  • Experience in working in a geographically dispersed and multidisciplined teams;
  • Drawing on professional experience in identifying and gathering relevant information from diverse inter and intradepartmental, and open sources.
  • Undertaking objective and systematic analysis of complex ACIC data sets and special collections, to detect multifaceted and interconnected fraud and noncompliance issues across payments, programs and services at a macro level.
  • Assessing the validity and reliability of information and data collected.
  • Monitoring progress of intelligence products and cycles.
  • Supporting the APS6 Senior Intelligence Analyst, APS6 Investigator and Assistant Director to research and analyse complex fraud issues.
  • Maintain an awareness of DVAs fraud risk environment, the contemporary criminal environment including new and emerging threats, and nationally significant criminal activity to identify priorities including targeting opportunities for law enforcement.
  • Work cooperatively with others teams in the Integrity & Security branch to effectively counter fraud.
  • Contribute to the capture of information from intelligence operations and investigations and participates in ACIC intelligence collection processes.
  • Support interdisciplinary and interagency liaison to maintain productive networks and to promote information sharing, partnerships and common understanding.
  • Contribute to a collegiate approach within the team that promotes a culture of flexibility and improvement.

Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for a specified term of up to 18 months.

A specified term may be extended up to a maximum period of 3 years.
