The role is responsible for execution of Loan Loss Provisioning methodology and calculations and Credit Risk external financial disclosures.

The role needs to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver key provision and credit disclosure processes in an efficiency way with tight timeframes, drive key methodology and assumption decisions to ensure process are efficient and fit for purpose.


The role should drive understanding of provisioning and Asset quality outcomes and trends across a range of stakeholders across the Group.


The role and Day to day will include:

  • Manage a team of ~10
  • Develop and manage credit provisioning policy and methodology to ensure provisions and credit disclosures are calculated appropriately in line with required accounting standards and prudential requirements
  • Liaise with a range of Risk, Finance and business teams to ensure that AQ and provisioning outcomes and drivers are well understood across the organisation
  • Manage key external relationships including with external auditors and regulators as required on relevant topics.
  • Drive focus on continuous improvement opportunities and ways of working to improve clarity for stakeholders as well as focus and effectiveness of teams.
  • Lead role in writing papers for senior Committees up to and including the Board.

What you will bring:


  • 7+ years professional experience in Credit Risk, with experience in provisioning and or credit financial disclosures
  • Track record of delivery of key tasks on time with appropriate controls
  • Proven history in delivery of strategic initiatives that positively change and drive business performance
  • Experience in building and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Deep understand of risks in banking
  • Ability to present complex risk related topics with simplicity
  • Demonstrated ability to make riskbased decisions (value creation through managing risk)
  • Strategic thinking
