About the role


This role is responsible for assisting the Group Manager - Risk, Quality & Assurance in the development, management and advancement of the Risk Management Framework for the CBH Group.


The role will drive a proactive and robust risk management culture at all organisational levels by partnering with all divisions of the Group to ensure effective risk management practices, ensuring that all regulatory, legislative and compliance requirements are met.


This role is based in our CBH Head Office and will require some travel to our operational sites within WA.


Working in the Risk and Assurance team, key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Manage risk workshop lifecycle (annual and ad hoc) including facilitating the workshops, documenting of risks, controls, and agreed actions etc. In addition, produce final risk profile output for discussion with relevant Chief for signoff.
  • Manage compilation of Executive Risk Committee papers in a timely manner.
  • Manage potential loss to the business by conducting Business Impact Assessments and working with relevant business areas in ensuring they have up to date BCPs including development and implementation of a testing program.
  • Provide assistance to the Group Manager
  • Risk, Quality & Assurance in coordinating crisis simulation exercises including updating the Crisis Management Plan ("CMP").
  • Manage compliance obligations through active review of legislative updates and ensure compliance obligations register is up to date. In addition, work with business to implement obligations.
  • Manage and administer the fraud analytic platform on behalf of the Group.
  • Ensure internal audit findings are reviewed to ensure accuracy of risks and controls and associated action plans. In addition, ensure currency of the Assurance Map.
  • Assist GR&C with investigations.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Business or a related discipline.
  • Minimum years' experience in risk management and demonstrated prior experience with ISO 31000:201
  • Demonstrated practice in risk management, compliance, policy and audit frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret legislation and an understanding of compliance frameworks.
  • An ability to build relationships with people at all levels.
  • Good organisational and influencing skills.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Confident in the preparation of Board papers/business cases.
  • Financial Acumen
