Your role
As a Care Coordinator with One Doorway, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining rostering and scheduling processes that meet the needs of our participants.
You will provide support to the Operations Department through supporting and at times overseeing teams and programs to ensure that participants' care needs are met.
A day in the life as a Care Coordinator with One Doorway may see you supporting the business with:- Commitment to a person-centred approach.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality supports and disability practice within Supported Independent Living (SIL) and In Home Support environments.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead staff in the delivery of quality direct care services.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and organise own work and support team members.
- Manage effective scheduling and rostering to align Support Worker rosters efficiently to meet the service agreements and obligations.
- Support the planning, forecast, and management of workforce requirements, including roster changes, leave and absence planning to ensure effective coverage of all shifts to participant, program and organisational needs.
- Provide administrative and operational support as required by the Operations Team and support communication between internal and external stakeholders to ensure participants support needs are met.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise, meet deadlines and juggle competing demands, working in a fast paced and flexible environment.
What we are looking for
- Knowledge and experience in providing support within a Rostering, Employment Services, Payroll or Administration role
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
- Highlevel organisational skills, with the ability to set priorities and meet multiple deadlines
- Ability to learn quickly in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Commitment to the rights of people with disabilities to live dignified lives
- Able to accept responsibility and work as part of a team
- Patient, flexible, understanding, supportive and caring nature
- Strong computer, written and verbal communication skills
Desirable, however not essential
- Experience working within the disability or health care sectors
- Previous community services experience in a rostering or scheduling role highly regarded.
- Certificate IV in Business or equivalent
- Valid driver's licence
- Access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
- Some driving will be required as part of the role and a work travel allowance will be paid
- Laptop and phone will be provided
- Flexible working arrangements are available but it is expected that you will be in the office at least 3 days per week
- In the interests of healthy rostering practices, allocation of oncall time will be spread as evenly as practicable amongst those required to participate in an oncall roster
