Role Title:
Leading Hand/Supervisor - Solar Panel & Gutter Cleaning Technician

Reporting to Operations Manager


Direct Reports - The incumbent will work in conjunction with other team-members with a view to being the designated senior technician overseeing team members.


OVERALL OBJECTIVE


This role will be responsible for the safe and efficient inspection, cleaning and/or bird-proofing of solar panel arrays, and the safe cleaning of roof gutters and valleys.

Work will be carried out predominantly in residential environment, however some work will be done in commercial/ industrial sites where more people and mobile equipment may be present, and more stringent safety precautions and processes need to be adhered to and followed.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process
1.1. Carry out risk assessments of work environment prior to commencing work.
1.2.

Liaise with clients and other staff to ensure all work is done, and all safety measures are put into place.

1.3. Carryout cleaning, inspections and bird-proofing of solar panel arrays.
1.4. Carryout cleaning of roof gutters and valleys.
1.5. Complete reports including capturing photos - typically done on mobile phone or tablet.
1.6. Ensure follow-up and corrective action items are reported,

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Qualifications (essential)
1.1. Working at Heights Training (RIIWHS204E)
1.2. White Card (CPCWHS1001)
1.3. Working with Children Check
1.4. National Police Check


  • Experience (preferred but not essential)
2.1. Previous experience with working at heights - e.g., roofing, gutter installation.
2.2. Previous experience with cleaning of glass or other surfaces - e.g., window cleaning, soft/pressure washing.
2.3. Previous experience with electrical contracting - e.g., solar installation or electrical work.


  • Skills
3.1. Able to use Apple iPhone or iPad - job scheduling & report system is App-Based.
3.2. Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
3.3. Strong verbal and written communication
3.4. Organised and able to meet deadlines.
3.5. Able to behave professionally and with respect when dealing with clients verbally on the phone, and in person.
3.6.

Understand that you are working within the confines of clients' premises and to take the utmost of care to ensure property is not damaged.

$ $30.00 per hour
