Description

The role of the Digital and Customer Communications Division is to build and protect DEECA's reputation and promote its initiatives, projects and programs that support the Victorian community and the built and natural environment.

It provides strategic advice and guidance on media, marketing, digital and communication (internal and external) to best position DEECA and deliver informative and educational data-driven content, to staff, the media, stakeholders and the community.

This position is within the Corporate Communications branch of the Digital and Customer Communications Division.

The branch is responsible for delivering internal communications support for key senior internal stakeholders such as the Secretary, DEECA Senior Executives and the Corporate Services Group.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Experience in writing, producing and sharing a range of content across traditional and new channels.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in journalism, digital communications or public relations, preferably in a government setting.
  • A background in journalist and editorial experience is preferred.
  • Good understanding of social media and digital channels with experience in measurement and reporting.
This is a fixed term position available until 31 July 2023. The work location for this position is 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
