An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Freight & Distribution Manager working within our medical division based in our
Macquarie Park office.

The role of the Freight & Distribution Manager is to coordinate with the sales team and 3rd party service providers to ensure the efficient flow of products to customers in a timely manner.

This role will also lead and develop a team to drive and improve business outcomes for the medical device distribution space.

Responsibilities Include:

Manage overall logistics and warehouse operations to ensure effective and efficient flow of products and distributions activities
Act as primary interface between field customers and other key internal stake holders
Supervise and develop Freight & Distribution Specialist
Act as supplier owner from vendor selection, evaluation, performance monitoring and cost analysis & control including customs agent, 3PL, transportation
Monitor 3PL Service level and in compliance with QMS and Abbott SOP
Perform performance tracking / reporting / analysis (KPI, cost control, analysis of discrepancy)
Resolve customer's complaints to customer satisfaction and proactively seek to identify root cause to prevent reoccurrence
Setup warehouse environment and warehouse operations fulfilling Abbott SOP and local regulations
Setup necessary processes to full local regulations including local labelling and IFU

Experience Required:

Bachelor degree in business/operations management/supply chain/equivalent;
7 to 10 years' experience with at least 2 years at supervisory level
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong ability to lead small team.
