Join our Equities Operations team within the wider global Corporate Operations Group and support our Equities trading business in Macquarie Capital while working in close collaboration across Corporate Operations, Front Office, Finance and Risk.

Our team is responsible for handling post-trade life cycle controls in global markets including trade allocation, booking, settlement, funding, reconciliation, and client management.

What role will you play?


In this role, you will be responsible for the booking of Equity trades in the Australian and New Zealand markets and internal front and middle office cash reconciliations.

Working closely with the Front Office, you will assess and manage risks within daily activity of the Equities trading desk and be responsible for trade capture, allocation, confirmation, reconciliation, and control monitoring of exception trade flow.


You will liaise with our Settlements teams regarding failing trades and matching issues and compile reporting to senior management while maintaining and overseeing a strong control environment that ensures all activities adhere to Macquarie's internal policies and regulatory compliance.

Finally, you will identify and deliver transformations of processes to enhance controls, efficiencies and client experience and have input to improve operational robustness and risk reduction


What you offer

  • 7+ years experience in Equities Middle Office(knowledge and experience in Global Equity market and products and Equity Capital markets is preferred)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Forward thinking risk mindset and an understanding of operational controls
  • Change management and transformation experience is preferred
  • Leadership experience preferredExperience with Omgeo, IRESS, OMS. Experience with Alteryx and Power BI is an advantage.
