about the role
Chevron Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join the Finance Team.

Reporting to a Finance Leadership Team Member, this permanent role will be based in Chevron's new building at One The Esplanade.

This job is only open for Perth, WA based applicants.

The role's duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Preparation of Work Program & Budget, Business Plans, and forecasts.
  • Review and substantiation of monthly accruals.
  • Leading the way in Digital Reporting in PowerBi to enable better decision quality.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to the business to ensure appropriate accounting treatment/reporting of costs.
  • Prepares reconciliations and related accounting entries.
  • Ensure costs are allocated and charged to the correct joint ventures in line with accounting standards JV Agreements and Chevron policies.
  • Business Partnering by building relationships and financial fluency.

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

  • 3-5 years post graduate experience with either CPA or CA qualification.
  • Big 4 or Large Corporate Experience (e.g. oil & gas or resources) desirable.
  • Strong Excel and digital skills.
  • Ability to combine analytical and digital skills to the "tell the story".
  • Be a positive and energetic team player who learns fast and embraces change.
  • Understanding of or exposure to Joint Venture Accounting/Project Accounting.
  • Ability to articulate and link business drivers to risks with a strong attention to detail.
