Location:


  • Based out of either Perth or Singapore willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Business Contribution:


  • To provide support to the Regional President, Regional Leadership Team, Facility Managers and Functional Teams in the Asia Pacific (APAC) Region pertaining to HSSEQ and ensuring the successful implementation of the Global HSSEQ Management System to support an advanced safety culture across the region.

Required Capabilities:


  • NEBOSH Diploma, equivalent or better
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in HSSE and Quality management


  • Lead Incident Investigator

  • Kevin Topset or TAP Root
  • IRCA recognised Lead Auditor qualification
  • ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 or IMS
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Leadership qualities to lead, inspire and develop the APAC HSSEQ, Operational and Functional Teams

Key Responsibilities:


  • To set Strategic and Specific HSSEQ Targets and Objectives to measure performance through the APAC HSEQ KPI Dashboard and the HSEQ Facility Specific HSEQ KPI Scorecards up to Senior Management
  • The implementation of a robust HSSEQ and Continuous Improvement performance reporting cadence; as agreed with senior management.
  • Manage, develop and mentor the regional HSSEQ Advisors, HSSE focal points and operational and functional teams.
  • Facilitate effective communication to inform and to drive consultation and participation with employees.
  • The development and maintenance of the organization's management systems.
  • Ensuring that all tasks and activities are risk assessed, documented, and communicated to the personnel who will conduct them.
  • Ensuring that a Risk Register is maintained for each Facility and for the APAC
  • Ensuring that Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans are in place for each Facility and Project, to ensure that those plans are regularly reviewed and exercised to assure their effectiveness.
  • To maintain and implement a robust Internal Audit Program in each of the areas of HSSEQ.
  • To lead incident investigation teams facilitating the use of Root Cause Analysis tools and drafting and distributing comprehensive incident investigation reports
  • To take a leading role in annual APAC and facility level HSEQ Management Reviews.
  • To identify HSSEQ training needs by maintaining an APAC Training Requirements Matrix, ensure the conduct of HSSEQ training across the Region and monitor the level of HSSEQ training achieved.
  • The maintenance of Legal and Other Requirements Registers in each APAC Country and the implementation or a robust legal compliance assurance audit program.
  • To implement an effective environmental sustainability management system.
  • To develop and implement an effective waste management plan for each facility.
  • To undertake regular facility and site visits and support senior management with their planned visits / inspections.
  • The implementation of a Behavioral Based Safety methodology to drive a strong safety culture; including driving participation in the safety observation card scheme.
  • Ensuring the maintenance and implementation of a robust contractor management system.
  • To ensure that NCRs are raised, investigated, and closed out in a timely manner for all customer complaints, supplier issues and other nonconformances identified across the APAC Region
  • To develop and implement an effective security management plan for all company accommodation, offices, workshops, and other facilities in the APAC
  • Designated management representative for ISO 9001, 45001 and 1400
  • Ensure all customer required online portals are maintained (Achilles, UVDB, ISN, JQS, etc.)
